YES INDEEDY, FEED THE NEEDY

We started A Bite of Grace by the leading of God. We usually do a potluck for our home group and out of that God opened a door to help the community a few times. I felt an impression on my heart to start feeding the homeless, but with no real equipment or place. After getting confirmation we stepped out in faith and started a non-profit 3 years ago. People donated equipment, food and time to help us grow.

It wasn’t easy, but worth every hurdle. Now we have a small, dedicated team that helps us every month to make homemade meals like Brisket, Mac and cheese, Grilled chicken and pasta salad. We use our catering company to help with food donations we have leftovers or extras, but now we have closed our catering to focus on non-profit.

My experience in helping the community started a week after I became a Christian and was still on felony probation, as a convicted felon. God opened doors to mentor in bootcamps and juvenile centers. From Hanford, California to Hillcrest and McClarin in Oregon to develop a skate ministry at a skate park called Ripzu. 15+ years giving back and now we are going deeper.

My wife Beth has been a C.N.A. nurse for over 10 years and quit her last job to help us start this ministry and live on faith, hope and a promise to make changes to the lives of people God has placed on our path. Beth also has worked as a secretary, administrator, scheduler, and payroll for our first church Shiloh Fellowship under Pastor Jerry Thurston.

Our heart is to make changes, not to feed the revolving door of low expectations. We need partners who see our vision and want to see it succeed. To bring real last change to the homeless crisis and dignity and respect back to the people’s lives.
